Naloxone: It saves lives
As many of my colleages know, I have spent a large portion of my career in Northern Kentucky, and I am proud to have worked an area of this country that is so progressive in taking the proper actions to offer effective support for addiction. A huge part of this support is the education and promotion of the drug Naloxone. It saves lives.
The Naloxone Hydrochloride Injection, USP is a prescription medicine that reverses an opioid overdose. The medication is not addictive and does not produce a high. Emergency medical professionals have used it for years and it is now available to families of users.
Transitions’ Grateful Life Center offers FREE Naloxone Rescue Kits as well as training. Kits can be aquired on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 6-8 pm at:
Transitions Grateful Life Center
305 Pleasure Isle Dr. Erlanger, KY 41017
and on Tuesdays at noon at:
Transitions Droege Detox
925 Fifth Avenue
Dayton, KY 41074
**Training and kits are free, however, donations accepted.
