If you're in need of extra CLE and CUE credits before the end of the year, join me Wednesday, October 15th at the Fayette Circuit Courthouse in Lexington, Kentucky as I plan to attend a Reality DV training entitled: What Criminal Justice Professionals Need to Know About Domestic Violence. This is just too great of an opportunity to pass up not sharing.
(**Note, this training is not affiliated with, or organized by myself or Crossroads Counseling. We purely think it's a topic that needs to be discussed and addressed, and thus we are super excited to attend!)
Law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, clerks, victim advocates, social workers and probation/parole personnel are welcome to attend this training, free of cost for criminal justice professionals.
Featured speakers include Mark Wynn, National Law Enforcement Trainer/Consultant and Chris Mallios and John Wilkinson with Aequitas, a national prosecutors' resource on violence against women.
Registration runs from 8:15 a.m. until 8:45 p.m. at the Fayette Circuit Courthouse Multipurpose room. The course lasts until 4:45 p.m., and lunch is on your own. You can also register beforehand by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with "Reality DV" as the subject line. Please include your name, agency, title, phone number and email address.
